Dragon knows he is supposed to be brave—because that’s what dragons do. He’s so brave and valiant, he’s ready to try out his fearsome roar! But when he hears something that scares him, he turns to his forest friends to find the noise, and to help him be brave.

Young readers will relate to Dragon’s fears, and delight in his quest to be brave. Bestselling author/artist David Kirk, creator of the popular Miss Spider series, has created another beautiful, meaningful picture book to follow Oh So Tiny Bunny.

My Thoughts

Short and sweet but packed with a big message, Oh So Brave Dragon is sure to be a hit with the little ones. A simple tale of a Dragon who scares himself with his own roar…this book teaches the basics about fear, overcoming that fear and the power of friendship.

Kirk’s illustrations are strong and vivid and paint a great picture of this adorably cute “monster”, his home and all of his woodland friends. I couldn’t help smiling as I flipped the pages to see what awaited me:)

Oh So Brave Dragon is a winner!
