Welcome to Torte-a small-town family bakeshop where the treats are killer good.

It's the dead of winter in the sleepy town of Ashland, which means no tourists-and fewer customers-for Jules Capshaw and her bakery. But when she's asked to cater an off-season retreat for the directors of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, business starts heating up...until Jules finds a dead body in the freezer.

Someone at the retreat has apparently iced the bartender, a well-known flirt with a legendary temper-that is, before a killer beat him to the punch. Then, from out of nowhere, Jules's own ex-husband shows up at the shop-and soon becomes a suspect. With accusations piling up higher than the snow-and thicker than a chocolate mousse cake-Jules has to think outside the (recipe) box to find the real culprit...and make sure he gets his just desserts.

  1. I LOVE the titles they come up with these books! I used to look forward to shelving them when they came into the library – they are soooooo clever and fun to say!! And is that Peet’s coffee I see?!?!?!? YUM!!! This will be perfect for the upcoming winter reading 🙂

What a great cover! I like the snow covered trees out the window and the décor on the cupcakes!

Thanks for the new cover – it already looks very appealing, just from the design! Thanks also for the contest; I have not yet read any of the series so this would be a great time to get up to speed on your series. The hot chocolate varieties would be great any time of year – and I haven’t tried Peet’s coffee yet…oopsie. Thanks again!

I read quite a bit of YA books that are dystopian but there is something so relaxing about a cozy mystery.. My favorite are about food especially dessert oriented ones. My mom and I share these books because she loves mysteries. I have a feeling my Nook is going to have a new book on it today.

I love cozy mysteries. Your cover is so wonderful , that alone would draw me to it, but it also sounds really good! Thank you so much for creating such a terrific giveaway! I hope I win – fingers crossed!
