“Waiting On” Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we’re eagerly anticipating.

Fever (Chemical Garden Trilogy, the)
Author:  Lauren DeStefano
Publication date: February 21, 2012
From Goodreads:
Running away brings Rhine and Gabriel right into a trap, in the form of a twisted carnival whose ringmistress keeps watch over a menagerie of girls. Just as Rhine uncovers what plans await her, her fortune turns again. With Gabriel at her side, Rhine travels through an environment as grim as the one she left a year ago – surroundings that mirror her own feelings of fear and hopelessness.

The two are determined to get to Manhattan, to relative safety with Rhine’s twin brother, Rowan. But the road there is long and perilous – and in a world where young women only live to age twenty and young men die at twenty-five, time is precious. Worse still, they can’t seem to elude Rhine’s father-in-law, Vaughn, who is determined to bring Rhine back to the mansion…by any means necessary.

In the sequel to Lauren DeStefano’s harrowing Wither, Rhine must decide if freedom is worth the price – now that she has more to lose than ever.

My Thoughts:
I can not wait to read this follow up to Wither.  I’m just now dabbling in the waters of YA…this is the first YA book I’ve read since I was a teen and I thoroughly enjoyed it.  I can’t wait to see where the sequel takes them:)
What are you Waiting for this week??

  1. I still haven’t read Wither. I’ve had it I believe since it came out, or really close to the release, but it’s just been sitting on my shelves. (In fact, I think I have it planned for a TBR Tuesday post coming up… lol).

    Not feeling this cover, though…

  2. It looks like an great choice. I have some YA, but I have read mostly the really popular ones only.

Just swinging by to say thanks for stopping by my blog on WoW. I’m a new follower.
